Whether you’re the bride, a bridesmaid, or an important guest, the wedding season is the biggest driver of beauty bookings across the UK. Getting the timing right is everything — here’s a complete checklist of what to book and when.
12 Months Before (Brides)
- Consultation with your wedding hair and makeup artist — book early, the best ones fill up fast
- Start a skincare routine if you don’t already have one. 12 months gives enough time to see real results.
- Consider a course of facials — monthly from now through the wedding builds cumulative skin improvements
3–6 Months Before
- Microblading or brow lamination — if you want semi-permanent brows, now is the time. Microblading heals over 4–6 weeks and may need a top-up.
- Teeth whitening — if you want a whiter smile for photos, start early.
- Hair treatments — start keratin or strengthening treatments if your hair needs conditioning ahead of styling.
4–6 Weeks Before
- Trial run with your hair and makeup artist — essential, not optional
- First lash lift or lash extensions (allows time for adjustment and a refill)
- Skin booster injections if you’re having them — allow time to see results and settle
1–2 Weeks Before
- Final facial — ideally a gentle, hydrating treatment, not anything harsh or exfoliating
- Spray tan — 5–7 days before allows the tan to settle and any initial darkness to fade to a natural colour
- Body waxing — 5–7 days before to allow any redness to settle
- Nail appointment — aim for 2–3 days before for gel or shellac
Day Before
- Lash extensions top-up or lash tint if needed
- Final brow shaping (threading or tint)
- Manicure and pedicure if not done earlier
