The weeks before a summer holiday are peak season for beauty bookings — and for good reason. A bit of advance planning means you arrive at the airport looking and feeling great, rather than scrambling for last-minute appointments. Here’s the ideal treatment timeline.
4–6 Weeks Before Departure
- Lash lift or extensions: A lash lift lasts 6–8 weeks — book 4–6 weeks out so it’s fully cured and looking its best on holiday. Extensions booked 3–4 weeks out allow time for an infill if needed.
- Microblading or brow lamination: Give semi-permanent brow treatments time to heal and settle before you go.
- IPL or laser hair removal: If you’re having a course, ensure you complete it with enough time to avoid sun exposure on treated areas.
2–4 Weeks Before
- Facial: A brightening or resurfacing facial now gives skin time to recover and glow. Avoid harsh peels within 2 weeks of travel.
- Dermal fillers: Allow 2 weeks for any initial swelling or bruising to settle before you want to look your best.
1 Week Before
- Spray tan: 5–7 days before allows the tan to develop and the initial darkness to fade to a natural golden colour.
- Waxing: Legs, bikini, Brazilian, underarms — 5–7 days before gives any redness time to settle.
- Gel nails: Gel lasts 2–3 weeks — one week before is perfect timing.
2–3 Days Before
- Eyebrow thread or tint top-up
- Manicure and pedicure if you want them freshly done for departure
